Call for Papers
Increased flexibility and agility, co-operation, continuous improvement, knowledge work and the progress towards learning organisations are important challenges for enterprises. Enterprise Systems (ES) - also called Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) - are key IT assets to deal with these challenges. They enable industrial organizations and public administrations to integrate, coordinate and evolve their business processes across functional and organization boundaries and to effectively exploit information for sustaining success of the enterprises. The provide the basis for effective decision making and allow for new business models. |
Submission Topics The conference focuses on both the technical and application aspects of enterprise systems and the complex and cross-disciplinary problems of enterprise integration. Apart from that, the conference deals with methods and technologies for the development, adoption, and application of context-rich enterprise systems leading to smart machines or intelligent cloud services. The conference committee invites submissions of applied or theoretical research and application-oriented papers on all topics of Enterprise Systems. Topics include, but are not limited to the following: |

Workshops There will be three special workshop sessions:
Learning in organisations is and has always been very important to keep enterprises competitive. Public Administrations are required to gear their services towards demand, in compliance with the law. Process related single-loop learning focuses on supporting employees to readily learn and apply new processes and to improve business processes. A particular challenge represents the implementation of double-loop and Deutero learning in the organisational context. How can mental models be externalized? How can the gap be closed between espoused theory and theory in use? How to trigger double-loop learning and how to evaluate and retrofit its results? The track on learning of process knowledge addresses these questions both on individual and organisational learning within organisations. |
Submissions dedicated to these workshop sessions can contain preliminary research results. |
