Transfer to the social event (18:15 - 18:45): We will transfer to the starting point of the social event using the public transportation of Basel. This means we will take the tram (number 11) in front of the conference venue (station called Ruchfeld) to transfer in a 15 min journey to the station called Bankverein.

Social event (18:45 - 19:45) - Basel in a nutshell: Our guided tour will provide a memorable overview of the history of Basel as well as comprehensive information on the city's sights. The starting point is the Tinguely fountain in front of the old city theatre of Basel. The Swiss artist Jean Tinguely lined a shallow fountain with black asphalt and created inside mechanical figures powered by low-voltage current that appear to be playing in the water. On this one-hour walk, you discover several picturesque historic sites of Basel. Finally the guided tour will end at our conference dinner venue.

Conference Dinner (19:45 - 23:00): The conference dinner will take place in the historic guild house of the Safranzunft (Zunft zu Safran | saffron guild). The dinner will be a buffet style where you will have the chance to taste different specialities of Switzerland.
